Association Statement
“The Arizona Supreme Court today refused to hear our lawsuit on student equity. While we are extremely disappointed with the Court’s decision, we will continue our fight for Arizona charter students and schools.
We have always believed that this lawsuit was one avenue to fix Arizona’s broken school finance system. This case has helped raise awareness among policymakers and the general public about Arizona’s broken, antiquated system of funding public schools.
Although Arizona ranks near the bottom in student funding, we are encouraged by the Governor’s discussion of adding more dollars by a land trust ballot initiative and a council to reform school finance.”
