If you are interested in starting a charter school or if your charter application has just been approved, sign up for our Start Smart, Stay Smart training series which we have designed to guide you through the process of starting a high-quality charter school. We’ll help you understand the basics of charter schools, bust some charter school myths, guide you through the development process, and help you build capacity from the moment you open your doors. Whether you are a prospective charter school leader, board member, or business manager or you are already working in a school and seeking a refresher, this series will help you kick-start your school! Cost for this six-week series is $750, and is hosted at The Training Center at the Arizona Charter Schools Association, 12439 N. 32nd St. in Phoenix. Questions? How to Write an Instructional Analysis (required for the charter application)
The Instructional Analysis is a critical component of the charter application, requiring applicants to demonstrate their capacity to provide quality instruction in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Science. This session provides technical assistance on completing an  Instructional Analysis that is aligned to the proposed charter school's Program of Instruction and the Arizona State Standards. Participants will understand the purpose of the Instructional Analysis section of the charter application and how to meet the evaluation criteria for each component.

This session is an orientation for new charter developers, providing guidance on developing school mission and finding the right people to support it. Participants will develop an action plan with specific deadlines for building stakeholder relationships and the founding team.
