1. Arizona’s public education system allows students to attend a local district school, charter school, virtual school, or through school district open enrollment. Do you support a parent's right to choose the best public school, in their judgment, for their children?Strongly support
2. What are your priorities as a lawmaker? [Economic Development]Highest Priority
3. What are your priorities as a lawmaker? [Education]Highest Priority
4. What are your priorities as a lawmaker? [Environment and Public Land Issues]Priority
5. What are your priorities as a lawmaker? [Health Care]Priority
6. What are your priorities as a lawmaker? [Sentencing Reform]Priority
7. What are your priorities as a lawmaker? [Transportation]Priority
8. Charter schools are public schools that are operated by private contractors to provide education service - similar to other state contractors for health care, transportation, and other services. Do you support charter schools in Arizona?Yes
9. Please share what your priorities will be as a state lawmaker to strengthen Arizona’s workforce and economy so that all Arizonans have better opportunities to move up the economic ladder? Education reform to turn the fraud waste and abuse into reallocated funding to school choice that will bring more teachers, Criminal Justice reform that will stop the high price of incarceration but also reform prisoners for work in society, Tax Deductions for business owners, STOP the restrictions on businesses (& schools). Incentivize new corporations to come to Tucson because of our solar power benefits, and more.
10. School districts and charter schools are public schools; do you support equitable funding for all public school students? No
11. Do you support tax reform?Yes
12. What are your ideas for tax reform that would improve our state's economy?Abolish Income Tax immediately, Abolish/Reform property taxes over a period of 5 years. It certainly won't be through Prop 208! This puts Arizona in one of the Nations highest tax brackets. $0.55 or less goes to the Teacher / classroom, and their "tax the rich" motto not only adds a 3% tax to individuals, but taxing small businesses 8% and corporate business 4.9%? Do this, and new businesses will think twice before bringing their business and jobs to Arizona. I am a staunch supporter of School Choice / ESA For All, which will help Teachers, while respecting Parent's Rights and doing what's best for the individual child's needs. The money should follow the child, not the district. Districts misappropriate funds, line administrators pockets, never leaving enough for Teachers and students. There is fraud in the IEP system too. Our public school funding needs to be audited, reformed and you will see there is a lot of waste, fraud and abuse. An audit also needs to be done on our State Medicare/Medicaid/AHCCCS/ALTS to find money that is not being spent wisely.
13. Do you support efforts to reform Arizona’s regulatory boards and commissions?Yes
14. What is the greatest challenge facing Arizona today? As of today, I would have to say "government overreach". The fact that we are still closed, and businesses are closing permanently, mask mandates that are dividing us as a people, and schools are either closed or at hybrid status leading to children becoming depressed and higher number of suicide. I could go on.....
